Personal biography

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and reaching out for support is not always easy. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences, build on your strengths, and move toward the life you want to create.

Approach

My approach is client-centred and integrative, drawing from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies. Depending on what you need, we may explore the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop strategies for managing difficult emotions, and work toward greater self-understanding. I believe therapy is most meaningful when it is collaborative, so our work together will be tailored to your individual goals, experiences, and needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. As a Master of Clinical Psychology practicum student, I provide therapy to adults at Therapy Villa under the supervision of Ms. Niyati Gandhi,M.A., C.Psych, with both in-person and virtual appointments available.

Experience

My background in clinical psychology has shaped my interest in supporting people through periods of stress, change, uncertainty, and personal growth. My own multicultural background has also influenced the way I approach this work, reminding me that your experiences are shaped by many parts of who you are, including your culture, family, relationships, values, and identity. I strive to create a culturally responsive, compassionate, and inclusive space where you can feel comfortable fully showing up as yourself.

Working With Me

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a transition, struggling with difficult emotions, or simply hoping to understand yourself more deeply, you do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Together, therapy can be a place to begin exactly where you are.

More Than Just My Work

Outside of therapy and academics, I am a lifelong dancer and dance competitively on a hip-hop team, which keeps me connected to creativity, movement, and community. I also enjoy spending time with loved ones, trying new crafts, and recharging with some of my favourite movies.
