Personal biography
I believe that meaningful change begins when you feel truly heard, understood, and accepted. My role as a therapist is to create a safe and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences without fear of judgment. I see you as the expert in your own life, and I strive to walk alongside you as you develop greater self-awareness, confidence, and clarity.
Whether you are navigating a difficult life transition, career change, relationship challenges, grief and loss, emotional distress, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can provide a space to pause, reflect, and move forward with greater understanding and intention.
Approach
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and trauma-informed and IFS-informed approaches. Depending on your needs and goals, therapy may focus on understanding patterns of thoughts and behaviours, developing healthier coping strategies, strengthening emotional regulation, building self-awareness, improving communication, or navigating significant life decisions and transitions.
If you are experiencing career transitions or workplace-related challenges, I provide a space to explore the emotional impact of change, clarify personal values and goals, manage uncertainty, build confidence, and develop healthier ways of navigating stress and professional relationships.
In working with couples, I lean on principles from the Gottman Method to help you and your partner better understand your relationship patterns, strengthen friendship and emotional connection, and develop healthier ways of communicating and managing conflict.
I also support you through grief and loss, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, career challenges, stress, emotional overwhelm, and other personal concerns. My goal is not simply to provide strategies, but to help you understand yourself more deeply and develop tools that feel realistic and meaningful in your everyday lives.
Experience
I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a professional background spanning social work, education, management, human resources, and human services. This diverse experience has given me a deeper understanding of the emotional and practical challenges people may experience across different areas of their personal and professional lives.
I work with teens, adults, couples and families supporting them through a range of concerns and life transitions. My professional background in management and human resources also informs my work with individuals experiencing career transitions, workplace stress, professional uncertainty, burnout, career decision-making, and challenges related to balancing professional and personal responsibilities.
I recognize that family, culture, relationships, expectations, and professional identity can all influence how we experience change. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel respected, understood, and supported within the context of their individual values, experiences, and goals.
Working With Me
If you are feeling overwhelmed, experiencing a difficult transition, struggling in a relationship, navigating a career change, processing a loss, or looking for a supportive space to better understand yourself, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can explore what you are experiencing and work toward greater clarity, resilience, connection, and well-being.
More Than Just My Work
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, travelling and discovering new places, and expressing myself through dance. I also love a good binge-worthy show—especially when it means a relaxing evening with family. For me, these simple moments of connection, creativity, and fun are important for maintaining balance and staying grounded.
