Personal biography

Life can be hard. It can feel lonely. Sometimes, it can change when we're least expecting it, leaving us feeling disconnected, unsure and confused. You're not alone if you've been struggling. I’ve had phases in my life where I’ve lost my way, felt anxious and sad, and needed support. I believe you have what you need inside you to get through what you're going through right now, but sometimes we need someone to walk alongside us, to help us get there.

Approach

I care about how you’re doing and will bring curiosity, kindness and empathy to sessions. It is possible to feel more ease, wholeness and contentment in your life. I believe helping you get there is about being guided by your intention and what you need, creating an environment for emotional safety, following your pace and timing and working collaboratively. Depending on your particular needs, I may integrate tools from various therapeutic teachings such as Compassionate Inquiry, Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

Experience

Through my personal experience of needing support, and through education and training, what I’ve come to believe is that an important place to start on the growth and healing journey is from a place of wholeness, where I invite you to consider the idea that there’s nothing wrong with you and that all parts of you are welcome.

Working With Me

For the past 10 years I’ve had the privilege to support individuals both in the United Kingdom and Canada in schools, charities, hospitals and in private practice. I’ve worked in the UK for the NHS supporting stroke patients, at a mental health charity and various secondary schools in Tower Hamlets in East London supporting the wellbeing of young people, and at the UHN at Toronto Western Hospital supporting adults throughout their bariatric journey.

I've been grateful to have had the opportunity to use my passion for the arts to create, implement and evaluate innovative wellbeing programs for young people in secondary schools and arts centres in the UK. Incorporating experiential practices within these programs, such as movement, art, drama and mindfulness, was essential to helping participants significantly build their confidence and become more successful in developing meaningful connections with their peers.

More Than Just My Work

I love slow mornings with my favourite coffee and spending time with friends and family. I have a passion for all things artistic and political. I love going to cultural events, exploring bookshops and interesting and thoughtful theatre productions.
