Personal biography
For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of hearing people’s powerful stories. I believe the way we tell our own story shapes how we think, feel, and live and that you are the true expert on yourself. My role is to walk alongside you as we uncover the strengths and wisdom you already hold.
Approach
In therapy, I draw from some of the most effective therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural (CBT, DBT), emotion-focused, attachment-based, and mindfulness-based therapies. Additionally, I am informed in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trained in EMDR which enables me to support individuals in processing traumatic experiences and working toward healing as well as understanding and reconcile internal conflicts by identifying and engaging with different parts of the Self.
Apart from my training in traditional psychotherapy, I am keenly interested in the therapeutic application of psychedelics. Trained by Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS USA) and Integrative Psychiatric Institute (IPI), I’m a certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider. My training allows me to provide evidence-based psychedelic-assisted therapy and integration support for individuals processing trauma or non-ordinary states of consciousness. I've completed the Beginning and Intermediate levels of Somatic Experiencing training with Somatic Experiencing International and am now working toward my SEP certification. This body-based approach to trauma helps you gently release stored stress and feel safer and more grounded in your body.
Experience
Having worked with ethnically diverse adults, couples, and families across Canada, the United States, and India; this experience has deepened my respect for the unique cultural and personal identities each person brings. My therapeutic style is influenced by my training in clinical psychology and my South Asian roots. Blending western psychology and eastern philosophy enables me to offer a holistic approach to therapy.
Working With Me
As a member with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and a Clinical Psychologist in Toronto, I provide in-person therapy services in Etobicoke, and virtual sessions across Ontario to make care accessible and supportive for every client.
More Than Just My Work
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors in nature, working out and powerlifting, and, more recently, I am working on getting back to my dancing which I love. Alongside my personal passions, I remain dedicated to providing therapy services in Etobicoke and Toronto, supporting adults and couples on their unique journeys.
