Personal biography
Sometimes you may experience emotional challenges that prevent you from living in a way that aligns with your values. Through a supportive therapeutic relationship, I work with you to identify your values, explore what may be keeping you stuck, and develop coping strategies and skills to manage emotional and cognitive challenges. I support individuals with a range of concerns and challenges including trauma, anxiety and stress management, depression, self-esteem challenges, perfectionism, life transitions, obsessive thoughts, and compulsions.
Approach
My approach to therapy is integrative, as I combine therapeutic techniques and interventions from a range of modalities including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), as well as somatic and mindfulness-based approaches. I view therapy as a collaborative process, and shape my approach around your specific needs and goals.
Experience
I have worked at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), assessing clients with a range of mental health challenges, and I have volunteered as a crisis responder with Kids Help Phone, providing support to individuals experiencing psychological distress. In addition to these experiences, I have conducted various psychological assessments, including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments, and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Further, I have had the privilege of supporting adults experiencing various forms of trauma, chronic pain, depression, anxiety and panic symptoms, as well as social, relationship, and motivation challenges in therapy. I also have a strong background in psychology research. I completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in psychology research at the University of Toronto, and worked as a research assistant in various psychology laboratories.
Working With Me
I am a Clinical Associate providing virtual and in-person services under the supervision of Ms. Niyati Gandhi, M.A., C.Psych., and I am currently completing my Master of Clinical Psychology degree at Adler Graduate Professional School and will be working towards full licensure as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). Together, we can create a path that helps you move closer to living in line with what matters most to you. I strive to help you feel more empowered, resilient, and connected to your authentic self.
More Than Just My Work
In my free time, I enjoy going on long walks, trying new cafes and restaurants, watching a new tv series, or spending time with my family and friends. Some of my main interests include fashion, music, and dance.
