General Information

Therapy Villa is an inclusive psychological and psychotherapy clinic offering in-person therapy sessions to individuals, couples and families in the Etobicoke and Greater Toronto area and virtual therapy sessions to residents of Ontario.

We connect you with caring and qualified therapists to help you work through challenges and support your mental well-being goals.

Absolutely. All communication between you and your therapist is confidential, with limited exceptions as required by law (for eg. situations involving immediate safety concerns).

Therapy can address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, life transitions, and more.

All our therapists offer a free 20-min consultation. During your consultation, you can discuss your concerns, preferences, and whether in-person or virtual therapy would be best for you. This allows you to find the right fit with your therapist who has the expertise and approach that best suits your needs.

Therapy is an investment in your well-being. We also offer lower-cost options and virtual sessions to make therapy more accessible.

Virtual therapy may be a more accessible option for some clients, reducing travel costs and scheduling conflicts.

Many people participate in virtual therapy, so there’s no need to feel self-conscious.

At Therapy Villa, we provide evidence-based care that is personalized to each client’s unique needs. Our therapists integrate techniques from a range of well-researched approaches such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Somatic therapies, EFT, and mindfulness-based therapies; to create a plan that supports your goals and helps you move toward meaningful change. Costs and Payments

Individual and Couples therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and range from C$90 to C$250, depending on the therapist’s level of training and years of experience. Session fees are in line with the recommendations provided by the Ontario Psychological Association.

Virtual sessions follow the same pricing structure. We accept debit/credit cards on file.

We accept credit cards on file. Many clients also use extended health benefits — we can provide receipts for reimbursement or submit claims directly when available.

Psychology and Psychotherapy services are not covered under OHIP.

Most extended health benefit plans cover psychotherapy services provided by registered Psychologists or Psychotherapists. While we don’t do directly billing with insurance companies, you can get reimbursed by submitting the invoice under a plan that covers these services.

It's best to check with your insurance provider about the specific coverage on your plan. 

Payment is due at the beginning of each session. We accept all major debit/credit cards on file..

The full session fee is charged if there is less than 24 hour notice for a cancelled or rescheduled appointment or a No Show.

You can cancel or reschedule your session anytime before 24 hours of the appointment by using the Jane app, calling the clinic or sending us an email to info@therapyvilla.com letting us know about the change in your appointment.

Appointments Related

You can easily book online through our Jane booking page or call/email us - whichever feels most comfortable. Our team will guide you through the process and help you book a free consultation with the right therapist.

 No referral is needed. You can reach out to us directly and schedule your first session whenever you’re ready.

Your first session is all about getting to know you - your concerns, goals, and what brings you to therapy. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions, share what feels comfortable, and discuss how therapy can best support you. It’s about building comfort and creating a plan together for moving forward.

Most sessions are 50 minutes long. If you need a longer session for a deeper dive, we can arrange that too.

That depends on your needs. Many clients start weekly and adjust as they feel better. Your therapist will collaborate with you to create a schedule that supports your progress.

Yes! You can browse our therapist profiles and choose who feels like the best fit. If you’re not sure, our team can recommend someone based on your needs.

The therapeutic relationship is important. We encourage open communication with your therapist. If you feel like it’s not a good fit, we can always help you explore other options that best suit your needs.

That’s okay! We offer 20-minute complimentary consultations so you can ask questions, meet a therapist, and see if it feels like a good match before committing.

Virtual Therapy

Yes - we offer secure video or phone sessions so you can connect with your therapist from home, work, car or wherever you feel most comfortable.

Yes, research shows that virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for a variety of concerns.

You’ll need a computer, tablet or smartphone with a reliable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. Please find a quiet and private space where you won’t be interrupted during the session.
